"X-Squared" Debut

So today I finished the quilt top in time to join my quilting group at my local quilt shop.  Once a month we have a show-and-tell.  It's always lots of fun seeing what everyone has been working on.  Here is my version of Carrie Nelson's "X-Rated".  I'm renaming my version "X-Squared".

  1. That is fantastic! You did an amazing job and I love the black background. The color families show up so great on it. Is that you in the picture with your quilt?

  2. Yes, that's me..... during our show-and-tell we have to get up in front and tell the story behind the quilt. Other members ask questions and we answer, etc. It's a small enough group (under 15 usually) to keep it informal and fun. We have a lot of great ladies, and 2 men, and it makes for a fun evening!

  3. That looks like a really fun color study. Well done! I showed the photo to my Awesomer Half and she said, "Whoa, that's cool!" Somehow it reminds me a little bit of Amsterdam. Must be the red & black X's. Very cool.

    1. When my hubby saw this photo on my FB page, he said "Now you need to do one with all O's"..... doesn't he realize that he's giving me the green light to spend more money? Ha! :)
